San Francisco gets Even Weirder

Like a lot of the rest of the world, I visit Instapundit daily. I had some time on my hands and went back for seconds this evening. What did I find? A link to an article on some San Francisco denizens who seem to have some odd ideas about great sex. I mean, even weirder than usual.

In what seems to me to be more in the vein of cheerleading, the 'journalist' authoring the piece provided this gushing description:
"...Ms. Daedone, 41, who can quote the poet Mary Oliver and speak wryly on the intricacies of women’s anatomy with equal aplomb."
Well, hells bells! I can 'quote Kipling and speak wryly on the intricacies of women’s anatomy with equal aplomb'. Doesn't mean I'm going to start up some weird commune. Heck, you won't find me doing anything weird unless the wife gives the OK....and she won't even let me date.

Oh... and Mary Oliver ain't no Kipling. Yech.

I've been busy: Part 2

Road Trip!
(Click on one for a larger image)

So. When the heck did they put the Bird Cuisinarts in East of Snyder?
There was a tornado reported in this Thunderhead over Roswell, NM.
Saw well over a hundred head of deer in groups of 5 to 20 on the road up to Cloudcroft. At least I didn't come close to hitting an elk this time.....
OK, 'Holloman' or keep heading West?
Head West! Passing a train at the Continental Divide.

I've been busy: Part 1

The bookcases are DONE!

Nearly 70 linear feet of shelf space. Good thing I separated my research materials for my current project from the other books or this wouldn't have been enough. Next up, paint and hardwood floors (someday).

And now...Something Completely Different: Hail Blogging

Not the uniformly biggest hailstones I've experienced, but certainly the most powerfully driven and longest hailstorm I've been through. Most of the stones were about half-dollar size at the peak, but the dents in my roof vents tell me we had a few that were at least as big as baseballs.

Looks like I get a new roof and landscaping out of this deal...... less the deductible.

Oh well, the wife's roses WERE lovely and WERE going to be spectacular.

We'll try this for a while

There is now an e-mail address on the right-hand column for anyone interested in contacting me but does not want to create a Blogger ID first.

If people read this blog at all they will notice that sometimes (OK often) I have a hard time finding the time to even post on simple things, and my real life is getting even more interesting very soon. Hopefully everyone will understand if I don't answer all or most e-mails.

I'll keep the mailbox as long as things don't get out of control.

Regards to all
